Mr. Karumanchi Prasad is a commerce graduate has spent more than 35 years in the field of agriculture.

Born in Kakumanu Village in Guntur District, completed his intermediate in Guntur during 1973-75 and graduated in Commerce from Osmania University in 1978 and later Joined the family in business.

He founded “Prasad seeds” in the year 1982 as a proprietary firm. With the sound knowledge of agriculture and allied sectors, astute sense of quality and a clear vision to empower the farming community, Prasad group’s first venture were incorporated as Prasad Seed Farm Industries (PSFI) in 1986 and then in 1994 as Pvt Ltd Company “Prasad Seeds Pvt Ltd”. PSPL started as a Jute seed production and marketing company and since then the Company has taken great strides across various sectors of seed processing and allied fields globally.

Today PSPL as India’s largest outsourced partner in the seed processing domain, delivering end-to-end turnkey solutions to global seed companies.  Group core business expertise includes customized seed production, drying, processing, packaging, storing and distribution solutions to the corn, paddy, millet, sunflower, cotton and Jute seed industries.

Currently, PSPL Group operates facilities/Plants in India and Philippines. Facilities are under Project implementation stage in Indonesia for global seed companies.  Present Capacity of PSPL is about 120,000 tons of Corn Cob drying, 110,000 tons of seed conditioning and packaging for different crops which corresponds to 68% of the total India’s requirement.

Under his leadership the group diversified into seeds, power, Agri-seeds infrastructure, integrated cold chain sector, Agri inputs- pesticides and insecticides within India and abroad.
